LUMEN OPTOMETRIC: This stand alone shop is a premium eye-wear experience bringing together a boutique front of house with the latest vision therapy technology and services. Seeds & Growth sought to craft a balanced blend of clinical and retail zones so that the patient experience would feel both approachable as well as hygienic.
PARAMOUNT COFFEE PROJECT : This project was an adaptive reuse of an abandoned produce market originally built in 1918 at the recently developed ROW. The Australian group, in league with Seeds & Growth, came together to create a delightful café with innovative material use, elegant custom furnishings, and graceful interventions that contrast against the historic shell.
PARAMOUNT COFFEE PROJECT : An iconic building, featuring Spanish Revival and Churrigueresque architecture, Chapman Court was constructed in 1928 during the city’s Golden Age and remains a crowning jewel in the center of Koreatown. Seeds & Growth partnered in the revitalization of this historic landmark, creating the overall site branding and collateral, naming, signage, and graphic identity.
FREE PEOPLE : From store concept, through prototype learning, to the development of systems for a craft based approach to the fixture program, Seeds & Growth worked all the pieces of the equation to set up guidelines for serialization.
URBAN OUTFITTERS : Seeds & Growth created, over the course of numerous locations, store design guidelines that are still in use. We also developed a Fixture Bible with detailed specifications for over 300 types as well as a program for found elements.
WARBY PARKER : Beginning as a digital experience for purchasing eyewear with a philanthropic orientation, Warby Parker donates a set of spectacles to someone in need with every purchase. Seeds & Growth created the Los Angeles pop-up location for the innovative eyewear company - helping them translate the best of their online customer experience to the real world.
REI : For REI Co-op getting outside is about getting real. We felt that all aspects of the in-store experience should reflect this value. Seeds & Growth collaborated with REI’s store opening and creative teams to merchandise the Woodland Hills location prior to opening and establish what an ongoing visual merchandising style, inventory of objects and workflow might look like.
REI GUIDELINES : Recreational Equipment Inc. has been outfitting men and women for adventures since 1938. Now, with over 143 locations in 36 states - they’re one of the largest outdoor retailers around. Seeds & Growth worked collaboratively with REI’s store design and creative teams to evolve everything from store design, to visual merchandising culminating in the publication and presentation of five bound books.
ANTHROPOLOGIE : From naming through prototypes we had the privilege to participate in the creation of this bohemian classic brand.
COCA-COLA FAR COAST CAFE : Blue Earth Network reached out to Seeds & Growth to realize a full identity and experience for Coca Cola’s Far Coast cafe roll-out - the company’s entry into specialty coffee, tea and premium roast & ground coffee. Coca Cola officially launched the Far Coast brand in 2006 with the opening of four “concept stores” in Toronto, Oslo, Singapore and Atlanta. From branding to building, Seeds & Growth worked in tandem with Blue Earth Network across all creative fields to make this project a reality.
SOLAR LIVING CENTER : Solar Living Center (or SLC) is a 12-acre campus focused on educating the public through leading by example by implementing the newest, and most effective techniques in sustainable design. Our role was to be the cultural researcher and program concept designer for this amazing team. The gaol was to create a system that provided inspirational education, community promotion, and stewardship demonstration through their actions as users and consumers of goods. Today, SLC is a thriving, brilliant, green oasis alongside Highway 101 that’s been voted the #1 rest stop in California, and still draws clients in to explore the newest off-the-grid tech since SLC is famously known for being the first to invent solar panels.
